It’s time to tally up the betting pools and start paying out: If you picked Green Lantern as DC Comics surprise gay character you won. But depending on who was making your odds, you probably didn’t win much. As far as the speculation goes, the Green Lantern had been the favorite, mostly because rumors sourced to those in the know had been making their way around the Web for days saying as much.
At DC’s own blog, Alex Nagorski says the newly reimagined Alan Scott experienced “a traumatic event [that] will serve as the catalyst for him assuming his superhero identity as The Green Lantern.”

FLCL…classic.
It makes me so happy that Hank posted about FLCL because I live in a place where nobody knows what I’m talking about most of the time so I forget there is an purpose world with people who are made of awesome…
FLCL is on netflix and adultswim plays it all the time. Lots of people in FC know about FLCL. You just don’t know them. It’s like that every where. I promise. I bet the local rednecks get upset about weirdos not knowing about Kasey Kahne. Rednecks are made of awesome too. Even if they don’t watch FLCL. Watching anime or not watching anime doesn’t make you any more awesome of a person….
You assume too much. I never called any particular subset of culture out as being ignorant of something I appreciate. I’ve referenced a hundred different things to a hundred different people of all kinds of cultures and relieved only blank stares in return. And it’s not that I’m upset that other people don’t know about things I like; that would be stupid. Everybody has different things that interest them that other people know nothing about-you’re a prime example of this from my perspective. It just excites me to be reminded that there are people outside of my community that share my interests. Seems to me that’s what Tumblr is kind of about. So special snowflake syndrome or not, I’m glad there are people willing to share about the things I’m also interested in outside my county or state or country. That’s what makes them awesome to me.
Also, I don’t know why the word outside got changed to purpose in my original post.

I was helping my little brother
Where the fuck does jack come from
That’s basically what math is like for the rest of your life.
I love how the answer is at the bottom of the page. And how is any kid suppose to know how many stickers Jack has? Does Tani and Jen give Jack their stickers? I wish I was Jack. My friends never give me stickers. You’re all missing the point. This isn’t math. Rather it’s metaphysics, or the existence of our being. Theoretically speaking, Jack isn’t a person. Jack exists in all of us. We are Jack. Jack is all of us. Every single one of us. In each inept part of our being, our existence, Jack lives. Forgotten and ignored, yet he exists in our never ending subconscious. The question, rather, is how many stickers do we all have?
I am Jack’s blown mind.
